FAM Trip Rates
Travel agents pay US $699.00 (based on double occupancy) and their first companion pays US $699.00. Single traveler pays a supplement fee of US $240.00.
Included on the Trip
Ground transportation in Costa Rica, tour director, driver fees, accomodations for 7 nights, 7 breakfasts, 2 lunches & 3 dinners, bellman and maid gratuitites, supporting material, tour taxes and fees, and the following activities: Visit to Tortuguero Village and Sea Turtle Conservancy, Tortuguero Canals Tour, Arenal Hanging Bridges and La Fortuna Waterfall, Sky Tram & Sky Trek (zip-lining) at Sky Adventures, and Manuel Antonio National Park Hike.
Entrance fee to Tortuguero National Park and Sea Turtle Conservancy is not included and it needs to be paid in cash at the Tortuguero Lodge. Fees are $15 and $2 respectively.
During your visit to Costa Rica, you will be staying at some of the best hotels in the country. In San José you will be staying at The Best Western Irazú Hotel & Casino; in Tortuguero at The Laguna Lodge; in La Fortuna at the Hotel Arenal Manoa; and in Manuel Antonio at the Hotel Parador.

What is a FAM Trip?
"Fam Trip" is a short name for "Familiarization Trip". The main focus of FAM trips is to offer travel agents the opportunity to get acquainted with a specific area as well as its popular activities and points of interest. Travel agent FAM Trips allow you to experience firsthand your product so you are better prepared to recommend it to your customers and to answer possible questions they may have.
What are the payment methods?
We accept Checks, Bank Wire Transfers, Deposits and Credit Cards.

Can I bring companions who are not working on the Travel Industry?
Yes, you are welcome to bring 1 or 2 companions sharing room with you. They do not necessarily need to work in the Travel Industry but they do need to be at least 18 years old.
Can I book the international flight ticket through you?
Currently Boundless Costa Rica does not sell International Flight Tickets, however we recommend Jet Blue Airways out of MCO, LGA & JFK or Southwest which will soon start offering flights out of BWI. We also suggest that you look into flying out of FLL, MIA, LGA with other airlines. Spirit Airlines also has some of the most affordable tickets flying out of different airports.
What time should I arrive in Costa Rica?
We recommend you to arrive in Costa Rica at 4:00 pm or before. We have a welcome dinner in the early evening, and we would not want you to miss it. If you book anything arriving pass 4pm, just let us know so we can try to make other arrangements for you.
Can I arrive before June 5th or leave after June 12th?
Yes, if you wish to arrive a few days early or leave a few days later we can help you arrange accommodations and if needed activities and transportation as well. All this with a special travel agent discount. You just have to first secure your spot in the FAM.
What if the dates do not work for me?
If you can't make it to this Trip, but would really like to be part of one, we strongly recommend you to register to our Travel Agent's Portal. Once registered, we will keep you posted about upcoming Costa Rica FAM Trips and other useful information.

Can I get this FAM Trip for free?
Yes. After selling a specific amount of our packages to your customers, and after taking the trip, we will reimburse you the full amount paid. Please contact us if you have any questions.
How physically demanding are the activities?
Activities range on the "moderate level". If you wish to join the FAM trip, but are unsure about some activities, then please contact us to get more information.
Can I substitute or add tours/expeditions?
Activities cannot be substituted. However on day 4 in the evening there is enough time to add a visit to the local Hot Springs, inquire about more information.
What is the group size?
The group will consist of no more than 26 pax.
Do I need a VISA to visit Costa Rica?

Is there an airport departure tax?
Yes, if you are exiting Costa Rica via the International Airports you will be required to pay a departure tax which is currently $29. This can be paid at the airport or at hotels that offer this option.
